Chaussée Romaine:

The project of  "Chaussée Romaine" is a new "écoquartier" on the south of the city centre of Waremme. The site of the former brownfield  « la râperie »  will be redeveloped into a mixed residential neighbourhood with housing for a variety of households and a residential care centre for the elderly.

Longing the railway a new road connects to the train station and avoids motorised traffic going through the city centre. In the heart of the development a central parkzone creates space for recreation, social interaction, waste and rainwater management. A dense network of pedestrian connections links the neighbourhood to the city centre.
