A prime example of renovation and circularity. Formerly occupied by the European Commission, the two buildings occupy an area of 24,500 m² and are notoriously obsolete. ATENOR intends to make them an exemplary redevelopment in terms of sustainability, circularity and efficiency.Easily accessible by bus and metro, the site will be equipped with bicyle lanes, EV charging stations and secured spaces for bicycles.

Sustainability project
Open geothermal installation associated with heatpumps. 3.600 m² solar panels on the roof to produce electricity but also to create a shade zone on the atrium, reducing solar heat and demand for cooling energy. All the sustainable solutions wilol lead to a zero fossil energy consumption.
In terms of circularity :
- Large scale refurbishment, keeping the existing structure and existing elements (like refurbished façade elements)
- Inventory of existing materials and proactive iniative to reuse them on other sites and for social organisations.
In terms of certifications, BEAULIEU aims at BREEAM Excellent, WELL Gold and will be EU Taxonomy-aligned.
