Creative District

Creative District:

Located in the center of Liege, the Grand Leopold district is undergoing a major economic transformation and is a major challenge for the city.
It is within this district that emblematic projects are taking off, such as La Grand Poste, the Fiacre creative hub, the Madeleine 4.0, the offices of Noshaq, etc. The "Creative District" project aims to participate in the economic revitalization of this neighborhood, as a support for creative businesses and as an integrator of actors active in the research sector, the development of new creative practices, and the initiation to entrepreneurship. It is positioned as an initiator of development as well as an integrator of active actors in the Media and Tech sector.

1. La Grand Poste is located at the northern entrance of Liege (Belgium) and is considered as the totem of the Creative District. La Grand Poste project consists in urban revitalization of the former head office of the Belgian post in Liege. The building has been built at the beginning of the 20th century and is of significant architectural value. The building program is uniquely diversified, which gives the project a great attractiveness to different types of people. It is divided as follows: 

• Craft brewery: 550 sqm (10.000hl/y.)
• Food Market: 1.050 sqm
• Media Campus (University of Liege): 1.100 sqm
• Offices: 900 sqm
• Co-working and start-up village: 1.800 sqm

2. Relais Grand Poste is a project located next to La Grand Poste and consists of :

• Parking: 20 pl (car) 
• Retail: 250 sqm
• Offices: 3.350 sqm
• Residential /housing: 1.100 sqm (11 units)

3. The Fiacre, a 16th century mansion, is undergoing a thorough renovation. The objective is to transform the building, which has served as a post office, police station and restaurant, into a creative hub on three levels. The Fiacre, also called Hotel Baar-Lecharlier, will be both a business center and a platform dedicated to creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. It is divided as follows: 

• Creative Hub: 1.500 sqm
• Meeting roop: 1.800 sqm

4. Madeleine 4.0 : the project consists in urban revitalization of an islet in the heart of the historical centre. The programme is hybrid, combining commercial areas, offices and residential properties. A parking is also included at the heart of the islet, topped by a green patio available for office users. The building program is divided as follows: 

• Parking: 65 pl.
• Retail: 600 sqm
• Offices: 2.650 sqm
• Residential: 1.600 sqm (16 units, from small apartment to penthouse)

5. Noshaq HQ : the project consists of a mix of offices and meeting rooms. The project is devided as follows:

• Retail: 550 sqm
• Offices and meeting rooms: 3.500 sqm
