Business Center Trésignies :

In order to contribute to the economic and urban revitalization of Charleroi's city center, the Trésignies microzone will be renovated and should integrate a mix of functions (economic, housing, cultural). Soft mobility will be enhanced within the site via openings in the perimeter wall. The creation of a landscaped park will contribute to its attractiveness. IGRETEC has signed an economic and territorial development agreement with the City of Charleroi in June 2023. Through this agreement, the City entrusts IGRETEC with the process of adopting an economic recognition perimeter, as well as with the ensuing capital works. The recognition file was submitted to the Walloon Region in May 2023. In 2024, IGRETEC will acquire and renovate the second wing of the Casernes Trésignies (5,000 m²). The Walloon Region has agreed to partial funding under the "Sowafinal 3" call for projects. The permit application was submitted in September 2023. The project will house offices, facilities and high-quality shared services, enabling the existing Business Center in the north wing to be extended and companies to be accommodated on a temporary basis. The building will also house "La Marmite", a business incubator for the relocation of healthy, sustainable food. IGRETEC has received a grant from the European Recovery Plan to develop this project. Work is due to start in September 2024.
