Faubourg 21 Hotel:

Faubourg 21 in Brussels presented a precise architectural challenge: creating a cohesive, five-star boutique identity within a building where each space carried its own constraints, proportions, and technical limitations. The project required a delicate balance between aesthetic refinement and strict functional performance, particularly in guest rooms and wellness areas where durability, lighting integration, and spatial coherence are non-negotiable.

The brief called for bespoke furniture, decorative mirrors, and integrated lighting that would elevate the interior language without overwhelming the architectural envelope. Achieving this demanded exact material calibration, seamless junctions, and a level of detailing that allowed every element to blend into the overall narrative rather than appear as individual objects.

One of the core complexities was aligning the interior expression with the building’s existing rhythm irregular walls, varying ceiling heights, and tight service zones. Each piece had to be engineered specifically for its location, ensuring perfect fit, structural reliability, and visual precision. The spa furnishings added another layer of difficulty, requiring moisture-resistant construction, hidden technical infrastructure, and a soft, understated atmosphere.

Faubourg 21 is ultimately a project where design intent, architectural constraints, and technical execution had to operate with absolute synchronicity an exercise in controlled elegance and highly disciplined craftsmanship.
