The City of Verviers recently acquired a plot of land measuring approximately 30.000 m², located in the city heart, close to the Vesdre river, the pedestrian shopping area and renovated public spaces. This strategic site offers unique potential for the creation of a new, mixed-use and attractive central district.
The City wishes to develop this project in a public-private partnership, over the medium to long term, based on an ambitious vision rather than a traditional sale. The aim is to co-create, with committed investors, an exemplary, resilient and sustainable project.
The main ambitions include:

• the creation of high-quality, resilient and heavily planted public spaces;
• enhancing the landscape of the Vesdre riverbanks;
• parking;
• developing a new mixed-use neighbourhood, combining housing and local shops.

The City of Verviers is therefore seeking to attract visionary partners who are keen to participate in the transformation of an iconic site and contribute to the urban renewal of Verviers.
