Programme
Developed on an industrial wasteland at the entrance to the city of Tournai in Picardy Wallonia, the future MC² Cleantech Park will be the flagship site of the MC² Mineral Circular Centre ecosystem in Wallonia.
As a new-generation urban business park, it will offer 8 hectares of fully equipped land to start-ups and SMEs developing innovative projects related to the circularity of mineral materials and new materials.
The former metalworking workshops will be refurbished to house a research and innovation centre, shared workshops and fully equipped industrial halls.
As part of a circular approach, the existing structures of the old workshops will be rehabilitated wherever possible. The iconic elements of the site's industrial heritage will be highlighted as markers of identity, while construction choices will favour circular and, where appropriate, recycled materials.
The modularity of the state-of-the-art facilities will allow the future MC² Cleantech Park to evolve in line with the needs and innovative projects of the companies.

Sustainability project
The MC²Cleantech Park facilities will favour a sustainable approach by promoting soft mobility, responsible soil and material management, and optimised water management to enhance flood resilience. The use of renewable energies, the ban on fossil fuels and careful landscape design will ensure that the site blends harmoniously into its environment.
