Yusen Logistics Benelux, a global logistics services company covering air freight, sea freight, international road haulage, warehousing and supply chain management, plans to occupy a brand new state-of-the-art automated GDP-certified warehouse for pharmaceutical and healthcare products in Gembloux, southern Belgium, in 2024. The site of this future European logistics hub is located in the Crealys® science park, managed by BEP Expansion Economique, Namur's development agency.
The project comprises two separate buildings. In addition to the 1,500 sqm dedicated to the storage of dangerous goods, a variable-temperature warehouse of around 39,000 sqm will also be built. This building will be equipped with a range of automated solutions, including AMRs (autonomous mobile robots) and AGVs (automated guided vehicles), which will serve as support technologies for order processing.
